Family is at the heart of our business
In 1976 Con Peluso established a local, family owned timber business. Over the past 40 years, that business has grown from a retail timber outlet into one of Melbourne’s leading wholesalers of timber, flooring and panel products for residential and commercial construction, infrastructure projects and the manufacturing sector.
City Timber is now a second generation family business, run by Con’s sons Tony and Joe, who have employed their business and IT skills to expand into a national supplier of timber products. The importance of family values is embedded in City Timber’s culture. It’s not uncommon for customers to deal with employees who have been with us for over 20 years. That sense of family extends to all stakeholders, including our customers and suppliers. We pride ourselves on building sustainable long term partnerships and enjoy supplier relationships that are still strong after 35 years.

Our facilities
We commit to the continuous supply of high quality products and on time, in full deliveries to serve our customers.
Our central distribution facility is located on Centre Road in Clayton South, Melbourne with supporting satellite warehouses carrying additional stock holdings. With fleet of eight company owned trucks we can efficiently manage the end-to-end flow of stock and materials. And our team of inhouse drivers are Chain of Responsibility trained to ensure our loads are secure, our products are delivered in quality condition and our people are safe.
